Cockpit development – optimum functionality in the smallest of spaces

In the cockpit we integrate requirements on functionality, producibility, ergonomics, and safety – from functionality to assembly and right to repair-friendliness.
We look after the prototyping and use digital and physical mock-ups to ensure optimum use of the available space.
We work with both natural as well as composite materials, and combine fiber-composite-based lightweight construction with the integration of functionality.

In close cooperation, Bertrandt and the SGL Group have developed a new and integrated concept for innovative passenger compartment structures based on composite materials with the technology "Carbon Carrier". Suitable for large-scale production, the “Carbon Carrier” combines fiber-composite-based lightweight construction and integrated functionality, and is an example for the modern mixture of materials in the car.
