While the proportion of electromobility is growing, there is still plenty of need for testing tank systems, especially for hybrid vehicles. Our expertise includes the testing of fuel and SCR tanks, whose service life is examined with regard to changing environmental conditions and mechanical stresses. Aspects such as acoustics, dimensions and refueling or loading can also be checked. Our specialist team works in a goal- and solution-oriented manner and masters every challenge with its broad expertise and over 15 years of experience in fuel testing.
We test components and systems with static and dynamic test systems. Especially when it comes to special topics, such as tank development, our customers benefit greatly from our extensive expert knowledge in the subject matter. As a testing service provider, we also guarantee our customers on-site visits at all test locations with prototype protection in order to personally accompany the testing.
With our in-house test systems, we can accompany the entire life cycle of fuel systems, whether for individual components (e.g. tank), exhaust gas optimization with AdBlue, the activated carbon filter or the entire system. Individual and flexible solutions are also our specialty. For the development of such systems, we can access cross-sectional topics in the group, such as design and simulation.
At Bertrandt, we deal with new topics early on, such as e-fuel testing. If there are adjustments on the market, we quickly take the necessary measures to process customer projects efficiently.
As a development service provider, Bertrandt provides support in the various disciplines and can relieve OEMs and suppliers in a targeted manner and take on complex projects as a whole. Experienced engineers and specialists in design and materials technology work in our development departments and implement the specifications requirements, such as the often times complex shapes of the tank bladder as a result of ever decreasing available spaces. With our know-how in electrical engineering and electronics, we can ensure the reliable integration of the increasing number of electrical and electronic components in the tank system (e.g. new level sensors, different pump technology, OBD diagnostic module or our own tank control units). The engineering portfolio is rounded off with specialists in function and application development and test engineers who then test the systems.
