Bertrandt has opened its new site in Sophia Antipolis to meet the growing demand for software development activities. The previous facilities had become too small to efficiently implement the extensive software projects. The Sophia Antipolis location is known for its strong focus on embedded software, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and autonomous driving.
“The opening of our new office in Sophia Antipolis is an important step in our growth strategy. The new facilities will enable us to further expand our software expertise and provide our customers with even better support. We are strengthening our position as a leading provider of software solutions and driving forward the development of innovative technologies,” says Loïc Chapon, Managing Director Bertrandt France.
A major advantage of the Sophia Antipolis site is the excellent ecosystem that includes companies, schools and laboratories, enabling the development of a software skills cluster. In France, Bertrandt works with various international sites, including Romania, Spain, China, Italy, Morocco, Germany and Turkey. Furthermore, Bertrandt has established partnerships with Poland and India.
Bertrandt has been operating in France since 1984 and employs a total of 1,400 people there, 200 of whom work in the Tier 2 area. In addition to Sophia Antipolis, Bertrandt opened a site in Valenciennes in 2023 and in Lyon in 2024. Further sites in Bordeaux (2025) and Nantes/St. Nazaire (2026) are already in the planning stage. Bertrandt places great value on being close to its customers in order to provide them with optimal and professional support.
