Ehningen, 25. March 2025 – Bertrandt has once again received an award from AfB social & green IT for its outstanding commitment in the socio-ecological field. Thanks to the long-standing partnership, over 3.3 million liters of water were saved in 2024 and eight jobs were created for people with disabilities. The collaboration is also set to be expanded internationally.

Bertrandt has been working with AfB social & green IT since 2011 to extend the lifespan of IT products and conserve valuable resources. Last year alone, around 6,000 used IT devices were passed on, with all confidential data being certified and deleted. More than 60 percent of the devices were refurbished and equipped with new software to be returned to the cycle - including to Bertrandt employees.

The collaboration saved over 3.3 million liters of water last year and created eight jobs for people with disabilities. "Our partnership with AfB shows how we are making our contribution to a sustainable future through targeted resource conservation and social responsibility," says Bernhard Zechmann, Vice President IT at Bertrandt.

Bertrandt intends to continue its successful cooperation with AfB social & green IT at an international level in order to further increase its sustainable impact.

AfB social & green IT is Europe's largest non-profit IT company and specializes in extending the lifespan of used IT and mobile devices. As a recognized inclusion company, AfB social & green IT employs around 700 people, 49 percent of whom have  disabilities.
