Located in the heart of California’s Silicon Valley, the new site in Sunnyvale is the next step for the company’s work on projects for OEMs and industry clients with a focus on developing and validating advanced driver assistance systems and technologies in conjunction with autonomous driving.
This significantly broadens the range of services of the American branch with its locations in Rochester Hills, MI, Camarillo, CA and Greenville, SC.
The classic services portfolio comprehends engineering for interiors and exteriors, vehicle validation, electronic development as well as production-oriented services such as quality management and manufacturing engineering.
“In the US we are working on various projects for our clients, prestigious OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers. This is constantly increasing. This is why we see a great future with a long-term perspective for our US operations”, says Dr. Gerrit Schmidt, President and Managing Director of the Bertrandt US locations.
Bertrandt opened its first American location in Rochester Hills, MI as early as 2001. “Our mission is to constantly expand our portfolio, customizing it to the individual requirements of our clients. Providing new services with innovative technologies gives us access to new clients. In the context of cross-company cooperation we have the capability to offer clients an extensive range of products and services”, says Schmidt.
The new service portfolio will be presented at the inaugural attendance at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, Nevada in January 2020. The company will unveil a completely self-developed innovation platform for autonomous, electric and connected vehicles – HARRI to the international audience. HARRI demonstrates Bertrandt’s competencies and technological capabilities along the entire value chain for the mobility concepts of the future.
