The roadmap to fully automated driving has now been prepared. It is time for Bertrandt, to carry out an initial assessment of what this might mean for restraint system development. Even the simple possibility of enabling the driver to sit facing the rear of the passenger car will result in changes to the requirements placed on individual components of the system due to the greater degrees of freedom involved.
