This course covers how to determine whether a company is ready for CM2 implementation or how far it has progressed if a CM2 initiative has already begun.
Without proper management support, progress is slow; with support, it accelerates. Ultimately, a solid plan is essential.
Many companies are in the process of introducing new PDM, PLM, and/or ERP software systems—often without achieving the expected success. New software tools without optimized and harmonized processes never deliver the desired improvement.
A tool harmonization and improvement project should always be combined with a process harmonization and improvement project, following the principle: processes lead, software tools enable.
This course outlines the path to Operational Excellence—everything necessary to optimize a company’s core processes and improve its software tools. It provides a step-by-step explanation of how to implement CM2 across the enterprise. Participants will simulate a potential implementation in their own company through numerous practical workshops.
The course also covers how to conduct an assessment of existing processes and tools in relation to CM2 and how to derive a CM2 implementation plan from it. By the end of the course, participants will be ready for an enterprise-wide CM2 implementation in their organization.
