This course addresses all aspects of managing and optimizing the Digital Thread during the Operations and Maintenance (O&M) phase.

Organizations struggle to efficiently manage information across the entire enterprise and throughout all product or solution lifecycle phases. As a result, the number of corrective actions and interventions increases, and configuration traceability during operations decreases—ultimately, companies often do not know exactly what is in the customer’s hands.

This leads to rising costs for warranty claims, recalls, and penalties, negatively impacting overall business performance. To manage a true Digital Twin and unlock the power of the Digital Thread, companies need an efficient business process infrastructure.

All activities driven by the Digital Thread manifest as changes to the Digital Twin, often complicating its management. This course adds further details to the processes and roles introduced in previous courses.

Especially in managing the Digital Thread during the O&M phase and visualizing the Digital Twin, these process enhancements are essential. As the Digital Twin evolves throughout product lifecycles, a harmonized and efficient business process infrastructure is critical—even for managing suppliers (the supply chain).
