Small design projects are carried out for vehicle interiors and exteriors. In the following years, Bertrandt Ingolstadt expands its know-how in the core areas of design, vehicle interiors, bodyshell and trim.
1994   The A4 Avant project: design of the bodyshell construction and interior in the rear area of the car.
The A3 project is moved from Neckarsulm to Ingolstadt. This results in a headcount increase from 30 to 45.
1996       Relocation to Gaimersheim in the middle of May with around 90 employees.
Entry into trials and testing. Because of the continual growth, testing is relocated from Gaimersheim to Ingolstadt.
1995-97 97        Continual expansion of the range of services in the fields of electrics/electronics and graphics/documentation as well as into the area of engines/running gear/transmission.
1997-98   In parallel with the expansion of services, the team of skilled employees is built up to 170. The foundation stone for a new building in Gaimersheim is laid.
1999   The development centre in Gaimersheim is completed at the end of the year; design and prototype-build departments and a state of the art testing department are accommodated in approximately 10,000 sqm and employ a total of 250 permanent staff.
2000
The new development centre opens. Around 300 employees move into the new building. The facility takes on the development work in the areas of bodyshell/interior/electrics for the successor to the A3.
2003   The general development of the Audi Q7 starts together with another engineering service provider.
2004   The service spectrum along the automotive value chain is developed and expanded with adjoining services like quality management, trainings etc.
2005   Functional development in infotainment electronics, powertrain, chassis, and car body are being expanded.
2006   Development of electronics for the A8 heavy armour. Bertrandt Ingolstadt becomes a standard supplier for electrical systems of various special vehicles. Additionally, Ingolstadt continuously develops the strategical automated test station business segment. The number of employees increases to 440.

2008   Existing development centre expands with an electronic system division by 3,500 sqm. The electronic system division consists of labs, workshops, project rooms and research offices, in which the entire service spectrum of the Electrics/Electronics Competence Centre is consistently represented. Approximately 800 engineers and technicians develop individual mobility for our main customer Audi AG in Gaimersheim as well as for system suppliers from the metropolitan region Ingolstadt.
Launching of the Donauwörth operating site in the Eurocopter Cooperation Centre, in order to support our customer, Eurocopter, with tailor-made services.
