Core competencies For a manufacturer to outsource large amounts of work requires that the development partner has comprehensive know-how in the handling of complex projects. In recent years, Bertrandt has worked continuously to provide a wider and more in-depth range of services with the aim of offering clients an all-embracing capability in the development of complete modules and entire vehicles. To further strengthen this capability in end-to-end vehicle design, since 1 October 2002 the total vehicle development know-how has been networked through the new project company in Ehningen. In cooperation with all our subsidiaries, our know-how in the areas of project management, the development of entire vehicles, technical computation and vehicle safety, and production planning will be brought together and developed further. The new Competence Centre will take over the multi-disciplinary management of complex projects for modules and complete vehicles and, using its concentrated project management experience, will ensure the high-level process stability that is a prerequisite for the successful conclusion of complex projects.
