Core competencies At the Detroit site, Bertrandt can provide design and development services in the following areas: body structure and doors, interiors and exteriors, lighting and mirrors, passive and pedestrian safety, as well as sun roofs and convertible top systems. These services extend to the development of both components and system modules from the initial concept, through the prototype phase and into production readiness. Development work includes "classic" CAD design as well as the associated project management. Interdisciplinary functions such as technical calculations, simulation, rapid prototyping, rapid tooling, trials and testing are handled by our parent company in Ehningen. Data interchange takes place via a fixed data link between Bertrandt Ehningen and Bertrandt US.
