Subsidiary development
1996      spacer_28px.png Novel Lahnwerk Engineering S.A. established by Alberto Pallejà and Alberto Novel. Development and design, prototype construction as well as trials and testing are all included in the range of services offered.
1996-99   Employee numbers increase from 70 to 100.
1999   Sales amount to €5.9 million.
2000   Bertrandt AG acquires 80% shareholding in Novel Lahnwerk Engineering S.A. Company renamed as Novel Bertrandt S. A.
2003   Bertrandt AG acquires 100% of Novel Bertrandt S.A. 
2004    Change of name in Bertrandt Spain S.A. 

Core competencies
The classical core competencies at the Barcelona site are the development of car body modules focusing on body-in-white, attaching parts, exterior and interior. Furthermore electronics development has become more important in the last few years. A prototype studio for hand made components and welding groups as well as car body remodelling for racing complements the range of services offered.
