On 16 July 2008, the engineering services providers Bertrandt and Aeroconseil signed an agreement to set up a joint venture in Germany. The joint venture with the name “Bertrandt Aeroconseil GmbH” aims to achieve intensive market coverage with integrated development services for the aviation industry and to make use of opportunities for growth. It is also intended to generate synergies in the handling of transnational projects.

Strong partners for the aviation industry
“Under the umbrella of Bertrandt Aeroconseil GmbH, we will be able to align our services even more individually to customers from the international aviation industry and to develop them further”, explains CEO Dietmar Bichler and refers to the successful cooperation between the partners in the past. “In addition, we are intensifying our international orientation in aviation development with the joint venture”, says the head of Bertrandt. Alain Carcassès, CEO of Aeroconseil, confirms the capacity of the companies: “We bring the strengths of both partners into the joint venture. As a Tier 1 supplier with a comprehensive range of services, we can ideally support the EADS group in complex projects”. Both managers see the potential of the joint venture on the market for development services. The companies employ a total of more than 1,200 qualified aviation specialists who develop customized solutions for the manufacturers and suppliers of the aviation industry.
